Process Engineer-Client's Office

Location:  Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

SKW is seeking an Engineer with experience in natural gas processing plants to work from our client's office in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Responsibilities include, due diligence analysis, technical support of financial analysts, design, development, material procurement, preparation of technical specifications, review of project bids, code compliance, safety standards, good engineering practices, as well as construction and project management for new and expansion gas projects.

Duties include: Development of process flow diagrams and P&ID, evaluation of "what-ifs'", material balance development, NGL recovery or rejection, development of heat & material balances, hydraulic analysis of equipment and piping systems, preparation of man-hour estimates and proposals for new work, equipment sizing and specifications.

Applicant should be familiar with the following: Gas processing facilities, compressor and pump stations, dehydration units, Amine, separation and storage facilities, flash recovery, separators, filters, flare systems, Cryogenic plants, JT units, overpressure protection devices, pumps, heat exchangers, air coolers, centrifugal and reciprocating compressors, pressure vessels, tower trays, tower packing's, and reactor vessels.

Extensive field work and travel may be required. The selected candidate will be required to pass a DOT pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check. Requirements include a Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering. Preference will be given to Chemical Engineers. Previous experience with natural gas processing plants is a plus. Must have demonstrated ability to write technical procedures and create technical reports. A solid knowledge of MS Excel and Word is also desired. P.E. or ability and willingness to secure a P.E. is a plus.

Operations Manager/Engineer--PS-TU-05/18/10

Location:  Tulsa, Oklahoma

SKW is seeking an Engineer to serve as the Operations Manager of our Tulsa, OK office on natural gas and liquid pipeline projects nationwide.

SKW provides services to natural gas and liquid pipeline companies, such as engineering design for new facilities and upgrades to existing facilities. Projects include: pipelines, compressor, pump and measuring stations, and processing facilities.

We also provide project management and field services for gas pipeline companies in the areas of code compliance, pipeline integrity management, assessments, corrosion analysis, corrosion control and design, operations and maintenance.

The successful candidate must have a proven track record of managing a growing staff of professional engineers and technicians, developing client contacts and relationships, preparing scope of services, business strategies, budgeting, and business plan development.

Responsibilities include: Planning, directing, and monitoring operational activities of a staff of engineers and field technicians with accountability for cost, direction, and people management. Apply subject matter knowledge to manage staff activities in solving common and complex technical issues. Interface with clients, subcontractors and other SKW offices. Recruit and support development of direct staff members. Provide guidance on process improvements and recommend changes. Prepare reports outlining the outcome of technical projects.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Engineering or closely related field, or a four-year technical degree from a recognized technical institute and more than 5 years of experience and/or training such as NACE; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience with natural gas or liquid pipelines and/or corrosion control is a plus. Must have demonstrated ability to write technical procedures and create technical reports. A solid knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and Project is also desired.
