Internal Corrosion Direct Assessment

The ECDA goal is to enhance safety by managing the risk of pipeline corrosion failures, while minimizing the cost required for excavations and repairs. SKW’s direct assessment program for this client included development of procedures, flow charts, critical slope and topographical slope calculations, and SME interviews. Site visits identified inputs, actual slopes and dig sites. The SKW assessment team then performed bell hole inspections following the ECDA/ICDA anomaly investigation with the addition of x-ray and ultrasonic test reads.
