SKW Plays Key Role in MoDOT Realtime Network

The Missouri Department of Transportation announced the completion of the 78 Station Network of Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) Continuously Operating Reference Stations (CORS). SKW partnered with MoDOT to help create the Real Time Network which operates 24 hours a day to provide GNSS positional data, which is frequently used within the design and construction industries to verify location.

SKW was named “Engineering Firm of the Year” by The Greater Kansas City Chapter of the American Subcontractors Association (KCASA) at their annual awards banquet held March 16 in Overland Park, KS.

SKW Engineering Manager Named Participating Member of SGIP
SKW is pleased to announce that Mike Bequette, P.E., Engineering Manager of SKW’s Instrumentation and Controls Department, has been named a participating member of SGIP. SGIP, the Smart Grid Interoperability Panel, is a new stakeholder forum to provide technical support to the Commerce Department’s National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) as it coordinates standards for a modernized electric power system.
