Construction of a Storm Water GIS

The attached presentation was given at the Missouri Floodplain and Stormwater Managers Association (MFSMA) annual conference. The conference was held in Osage Beach on April 15-17, 2009. This presentation discusses building a stormwater GIS data layer. Adding Ammonia to the Disinfection Process, Reducing DPP of TTHM and HAA5

This presentation provides a review in factors that impact the formation of disinfection byproducts, a quick review of related regulations, and how to reduce the formation of disinfection byproducts. Information presented with the addition of ammonia to chlorinated water describes how the formation of DBP is limited as well as describing the various forms of ammonia, tables to show the mix ratios between ammonia and chlorine and an explanation in the use or understanding of the break point chlorination curve. Eating the Elephant: Stormwater Management for Boone County

The attached presentation was given at the Great Rivers Chapter of the International Erosion Control Association (IECA) Spring Workshop on Urban Stormwater in the U.S. The workshop was held in Jefferson City on March 26, 2009. The presentation is about developing a comprehensive stormwater program for Boone County, Missouri. It focuses on the process SKW, staff and stakeholders has been going through to develop stormwater ordinances and design guidance with details related to quantity and quality management of runoff.
